Genevieve would like Mr. and Mrs. M. to dine with them for Thanksgiving. She would like Mr. M. to lend her "Greek wit and wisdom", she needs to finish her credo. She also discuss a person "Dan" who helps her in the house. There is also part of another letter discussing Marion returning form California, asking when they (the Markhams) are returning to Staten Island. She writes about a letter received and that the pressure is off.
